Since 2018, the European Forum “World Design Rankings” has listed Ccilu as the World’s No. 1 Design Company in the footwear industry.
In 2020, Red Herring Global listed Ccilu amongst North America’s Top 100 Innovative Companies.

Sustainability is at the forefront of each development and decision of Ccilu. We have created three environmentally friendly technologies to decrease carbon emissions and waste production:
XpreSole®
Introducing the sustainable shoe you’ve been waiting for! XpreSole® is made from recycled coffee grounds and is vegan, dirt-proof, water-repellent, and odor-controlled.
Creating Our Sustainable Shoes
Spent Coffee Grounds: We rescue spent coffee grounds from coffee shops and use patented technology to create fabric for the lining and insole. The shell and outsole are made using injection molding.
Recycled Plastic Bottles: We recycle plastic bottles, combining them with spent coffee grounds to create RPET yarn for the upper and insole of the shoe.
Award-Winning Design
XpreSole® Cody was recognized by the Red Dot Design Award in 2019. XpreSole® Panto received the Red Dot Design Award – THE BEST OF THE BEST, iF Design Award, and Silver A’Design Award in 2021. XpreSole® Blocks was recognized by the iF Design Award in 2023.

GreenPlax® shoes are made from recycled plastic bottles pulled from the ocean, with every major component of the shoe contributing to environmental conservation.

GreenPlax® shoes are lightweight, flexible, and comfortable, offering full traction and timeless style. They help save the ocean by upcycling plastic bottles into footwear.
A Global Problem
Every minute, 1,000,000 plastic water bottles are discarded globally. GreenPlax® aims to minimize the impact by using these bottles in our shoes, with each pair upcycling an average of 15 bottles.
